Dear campus and community:

Although the last update was Feb. 26, the Chancellor Search and Screen Committee has been very active. During this time we have mostly been waiting while the applications have been coming in. We are now ready to move on to the next exciting stage, which involves interviewing 11 potential Chancellor candidates in Milwaukee on Friday, April 11 and Saturday, April 12.

Since our last update:

• After eliciting widespread input from students, academic faculty, unclassified staff, administratorsand community leaders, evaluation criteria were developed for reviewing all incoming applications.
• After eliciting widespread input from students, academic faculty, unclassified staff, administratorsand community leaders a set of questions were developed and which will be asked of all the Chancellor candidates.
• Using the evaluation criteria develop from input generated throughout the process, the Search and Screen Committee independently judged the submission letter, CV and references for each of the Chancellor candidates. On Tuesday, April 1, 2008 the Search and Screen Committee had a lengthy discussion of each of the candidates and asked the consulting firm to extend an interview invitation to 11 highly qualified candidates. These candidates will be interviewed on April 11 and 12 in Milwaukee.
