WELCOME TO THE 2007-2008 CHANCELLOR SEARCH AND SCREEN

On behalf of the Chancellor Search and Screen Committee and Vice-Chair Diana Rogers-Adkinson, I would like to welcome you to the search for the next chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. UW System President Reilly, along with Special Regent Danae Davis, charged our committee on Monday, Nov. 18. We have a well-rounded committee, including UW-Whitewater personnel, students, business representatives, community members and UW-System involvement. This is a dedicated group of individuals whom I am confident will serve the campus well.

As committee chair I make this promise -- we will be single-minded in our pursuit of input from students, faculty, staff, other UW-Whitewater personnel and the community at large. With this goal in mind, we will have an open search process and will post committee meeting minutes and summary responses from the various open forums and interviews that we conduct. When the candidates come to campus we will provide multiple opportunities for our constituents to judge for themselves the quality of each individual. Moreover, through an online forum we will provide a mechanism for rating each of the candidates. As you will see, the process will be transparent, culminating in the selection of the next leader of our campus.
