COMMITTEE SELECTION PROCESS

1. President Reilly selected Professor Jimmy Peltier to serve as committee chair.
2. President Reilly wrote to Interim Provost John Heyer and requested nominations for campus administrators, classified staff, and community representatives to serve on the committee.
3. President Reilly wrote to the Faculty, Academic Staff, and Student governance group leaders for faculty, academic staff, and student nominations respectively.
• Joseph Hogan, Chair of the Faculty Senate sent two separate emails to faculty requesting nominations.
• President Reilly requested nominations of members of the academic staff from Michael Cohen as Chair of the Academic Staff Assembly.
• President Reilly requested nominations for students from Nick Santilli, president of the student government.
4. President Reilly named one member of UW System Administration staff to serve on the committee.
5. President Reilly then reviewed the nominations and established a committee as broadly representative of the UW-Whitewater community as possible.
6. Subsequent to the initial committee selection, President Reilly chose to increase the size of the committee in order to include a representative from Student Affairs.
