UW-Whitewater offers four opportunities for education majors to student teach abroad. In these programs, students spend 4-9 weeks abroad studying and return to the United States to finish their placement. Faculty from the host university and/or UW-Whitewater will supervise the student teacher. Scholarships are available to help with funding.
Education majors may student teach in Ecuador, Jamaica, Mexico, or Sweden. For more information about these countries, refer to the Student Teach Abroad Brochure (pdf).
For general information and other opportunities, please visit the College of Education web page about international studies or the Center for Global Education website.
