Services Provided: Families Come First (FCF) is an intensive community-based treatment program that focuses on delinquent youth and their families. FCF is staffed by one full-time program coordinator, a full-time family therapist, three full-time and two part-time community outreach workers. As dedicated team members, they strive to expose youth to positive and constructive relationships and/or activities that promote healthy, responsible and compassionate choices. Families Come First is a goal-based program that operates from the balanced approach theory and wraparound concepts. The balance approach theory emphasizes developing the youth's strengths and assets, holding the youth responsible for their behavior (accountability), and ensuring community safety. While in the FCF program, youth and their family are required to attend a range of appointments based on treatment needs (i.e. family, individual, and/or couple counseling, in-home visits, community restoration, weekend programming and groups).
