Services Provided: Youth mentoring organization. Match children from single parent homes with adult volunteers. Also have two site-based programs in several elementary schools.
Summary of Expected Responsibilities and Learning Outcomes of Student Interns: Must have good communication skills and be willing to learn all aspects of the agency. Understand the inner workings of a not-for-profit, and financial challenges we face on a daily basis. Will be given the opportunity to interview, do home visits, case management, and program record keeping. Student will learn first hand what it takes to match a child and volunteer, and how this affects everyone involved
