Summary of Expected Responsibilities and Learning Outcomes of Student Interns:

• Address emotional and psychosocial needs of our residents/families
• Assessments (i.e., mini mental exams, depression, etc.)
• Complete social histories
• Learn admission process
• Work with Resident Council--handle monthly meetings
• Keep up with required paperwork
• Liaison with Human Services, Attorneys, Community Services, etc.
• Take over one unit of residents as Unit Social Worker
• Discharge planning
