Services Provided: Provides residential and group home treatment services, including individual and group counseling, individual treatment planning, education and vocational programming, and milieu treatment to children, adolescents and young adults with dually diagnosed emotional disturbances and cognitive disabilities. Day School and Respite Care also services provided by ODTC.

Summary of Expected Responsibilities and Learning Outcomes of Student Interns: After an initial orientation period, interns under supervision will begin to assume the responsibilities of the clinical specialist position. They will be assigned several clients. Related to these clients, they will begin to provide individual counseling, coordinate and revise individual treatment planning, maintain contact with families and referring agents, coordinate client home visits, schedule and conduct progress meetings, write progress reports, and work with the unit teams, the psychiatrist, occupational and speech therapists, teachers and health personnel to facilitate effective treatment. Opportunities to conduct and/or co-facilitate groups for clients and provide parent education and family counseling are also available.
