Services Provided: Phoenix House is a group home for adolescent girls ages 14-17. There is a capacity for 8 girls. The girls are court ordered to be placed through CPS or Juvenile Probation. While at Phoenix House the residents are provided with 24-hour supervision and are given the opportunity to learn independent living skills, an educational opportunity through the school district and are given the opportunity to complete community service and restitution hours. The goal is to help the girls function in the community in an appropriate manner and transition back home.

Summary of Expected Responsibilities and Learning Outcomes of Student Interns: Interns will have the opportunity to work with several county social workers through attending court hearings, permanency plan reviews, and team meetings. Interns will have the opportunity to work with the school through teacher meetings, conferences and IEP's for the residents. Through their experiences they will learn the process in accepting an adolescent for placement through the discharge process. There are many opportunities to work with the residents and guide them in their every day living activities.
