Services Provided: St. Coletta provides community-based living and learning for adults with developmental disabilities.
Summary of Expected Responsibilities and Learning Outcomes of Student Interns: A student intern would be expected to:
- embrace learning opportunities
- work as a member of an interdisciplinary team
- become cognizant of and enhance professional development
Opportunities include any or all of the following:
- case coordination for adults in community-based living homes in Jefferson and Whitewater area
- qualified mental retardation professional (QMRP) in our intermediate care facility for developmental disabled (ICF-DD)
- providing case coordination to individuals residing in the ICF-DD with intensive needs (medically fragile, dementia, aging and retirement, young adults)
- geriatric social work in our Adult Day Care Program, assist with intake assessments, psychosocial and spiritual
- work with a plan programming related to dementia and traumatic brain injury (TBI)
- other areas related to aging and developmental disabilities.
