Summary of Expected Responsibilities and Learning Outcomes of Student Interns:

• Ability to perform psychosocial, financial, and discharge planning assessments.
• Ability to develop a plan of care from assessments, such as discharge plans, resources, and referrals for the patient.
• Gain a knowledge of patient rights, legal aspects.
• Advocate for patient rights
• Ability to facilitate communication between patient/family/interdisciplinary team.
• Develop an understanding of community resources.
