Rebecca Snedeker is an award-winning independent filmmaker based in New Orleans. "By Invitation Only", her first feature-length documentary, premiered at the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival and was broadcast on PBS stations nationwide. The film recently won Best Documentary at the New Orleans International Human Rights Film Festival and has been presented at numerous festivals, conferences, and campuses.

Sabrina Sojourner was the first open lesbian to be elected to the United States Congress (District of Columbia, November 1996). Today, with two decades of experience in management and public policy, she works as an independent consultant. She was elected to an At-Large Seat, Central Democratic Committee in May of 1994.
Outstanding Women of Color in Education Awards Speaker
Madison’s Poet Laureate, Fabu Carter-Brisco, serves as a literary artist (poet and storyteller) and educator. Her enchanting original stories are most often from the perspective of women, children and African Americans, although she is multicultural in perspective and encourages writing in many languages.
Conference Plenary - Leadership and Collaboration: Shaping the Future
Yvonne Lumsden-Dill will chair the conference plenary panel. She is Executive Director of the Women’s Leadership Institute of Mount Mary College. The Institute is an extension of the leadership agenda initiated in 1997, which focuses on creating positive change for women in our community.
