Research Interest

Analytical, Inorganic and bioinorganic Chemistry. Synthesis and characterization of dimetal complexes and metalloporphyrins. The synthesized and structurally characterized compounds are studied chemically and electrochemically to explore their redox properties, electron transfer mechanisms as a function of bridging ligands, axial ligands, the types and oxidation states of central metal ions, solvents and supporting electrolytes. In situ spectroelectrochemical techniques, such as thin-layer UV-visible, FTIR, and ESR, are used to monitor the intermediate species in elucidating both kinetic and thermodynamic aspects of the various electron transfer reactions.
