Carol Rosen's specialty areas are historical and ethnic geography. She is co-author of The Atlas of Ethnic Diversity in Wisconsin

Courses taught regularly are: Geography of Wisconsin, Geography of Middle America, Geography of Russia and the Newly Independent States, Geography of Race and Ethnicity in the United States, Historical Geography, and Field Course in Urban/Historical Geography.
