Race and Ethnic Studies

A revised minor, available in August 2017

Race and Ethnic Studies offers a 24-unit minor composed of an introductory course, a capstone course, 15 core units chosen from a list of approved courses, and an elective course from the Race and Ethnic Studies course listing. The minor aims to deepen the students’ understanding of race and ethnicity within the United States through a multicultural and multidisciplinary approach. Students choose from courses in areas as varied as sociology, literature, history, political science, anthropology, women’s and gender studies, geography, philosophy, and social work, all seen through a multicultural lens that includes the African American, American Indian, Asian American, and Latinx perspectives.

Please reference the minor checksheet for more information.
