ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP

Since 2004, alumni of the College of Letters and Sciences have participated in a golf and silent auction event with the goal of fellowship and fundraising. The L&S Alumni Scholarship is a result of the generosity of alumni at this annual event. The Scholarship has five $3,000 scholarships available to award. For eligibility, students must have freshman standing, be enrolled for the next fall semester, have declared a major within the College of Letters and Sciences, and have completed a minimum of 12-15 credits at UW-Whitewater.

Applications should include the following:

  1. A fully completed application form.
  2. A letter of recommendation, preferably from a professor or academic advisor who knows the student well.
  3. A personal statement which includes:
    1. The student's educational goals and how this scholarship will help achieve them;
    2. The student's need for financial aid; and
    3. Specific attributes which set the student apart as an applicant for consideration.
  4. A copy of student's academic report (AR).
