The greenhouse facility is located on the ground floor of Upham Hall at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater. It serves the needs of the Biological Sciences department for teaching and research space, course material, and a teaching collection for plant diversity. Dr. Nicholas Tippery manages the greenhouse with the help of other faculty and several exceptional students.
The annual Observatory Lecture Series has a history of engaging the community with exciting general-audience lectures, followed by public viewing using the University’s telescopes at the campus observatory. Dr. Paul Rybski manages the University's telescopes and the Observatory facility.
The Whitewater Weather page was created in 2012 by Dr. John Frye and is available to everyone who is interested in the local weather. Not only does this web page show current conditions and provide up-to-date camera images of campus but it will also give the weekly forecast. This website can provide you with weather specifically tailored to Whitewater. The weather station sits just southeast of Perkins Stadium. It can be easily seen from the stadium during a Warhawk football game. All of the weather information collected from this station is archived in case anybody needs historical weather data on the Whitewater area. View UW-W Weather Page>>
