ENVISION Magazine, Winter 2007

Brian J. Nemoir is living proof that a good communicator can work in any industry.

Since graduating in 1993, the political science major has had a successful career in state government and politics as well as in public relations and consumer brands advertising. Never afraid to take a risk - there are more stories in success than in failure, he says - Nemoir has a new challenge as owner of an advertising, marketing and PR firm, Full Impact Communications.

Located in Delafield, Full Impact has been open since 2001 and serves clients in the areas of finance, governmental affairs, health and fitness, and health care. One of Nemoir's largest clients is ProHealth Care in Waukesha. Nemoir describes his clients as small to mid-size companies that use his agency because they were unsatisfied with the level of service they received at a larger firm.

"Clients are best served by someone who wants to be their partner," he said. "They all want well-crafted, integrated communication results, and I provide that while at the same time having some fun."

Nemoir describes running his own business as a great challenge and a great joy. "Every client presents unique challenges, but I enjoy meeting bright and energetic people and learning more about the business," he said. "You have to be able to have fun doing what you're doing as well as producing results."

Besides running Full Impact, Nemoir belongs to various professional organizations including the Public Relations Society of America, the Waukesha Chamber of Commerce and the Waukesha Civic Theatre. He is also co-founder of Moonlit Movies, a free outdoor event held once a month in the summer at Fowler Lake in Oconomowoc. Family-friendly movies are shown on a 45-foot inflatable screen and community members are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items for the Oconomowoc Food Pantry.

He is also a member of the College of Letters and Sciences Dean's Advisory Board.

Nemoir and his wife, Heather, live in Delafield with their infant daughter, Sophia.
