• "Performance Incentive Plans and the Role of Earnings Persistance." Presented and published in the proceedings of the 2004 Ohio Region Meeting of the American Accounting Association at Akron, Ohio, May 6th (with Pervaiz Alam).
• 2004 AICPA-ACT New Item Review Meeting
• I participated in the AICPA-ACT New Item Review Meeting conducted in Jersey City, NJ August 13-14, 2004. At this meeting I worked in a panel of four reviewers on questions related to the Financial Accounting and Reporting Section of the Uniform CPA exam. The reviewers were responsible for evaluating each item for accuracy of content, criticality to practice, and correct classification. Over the two-day period we were responsible for reviewing 250 questions
• 2004 AICPA-ACT Item Writers Workshop
• I participated in the AICPA-ACT Item Writers Workshop conducted in Tucson, Arizona March 26-28, 2004. The purpose of this workshop was to collect questions for use in the computerized CPA exam. Participants at the workshop were responsible for writing twenty questions at the analysis and judgment level. I wrote questions for use in testing students' knowledge of Financial Management. At the workshop, the questions that were submitted went through two rounds of corrections. Subsequently, these questions were reviewed by a panel of AICPA reviewers for adoption in the Uniform CPA exam. On December 9, 2004 I received an email from Rosemary Gavin from ACT indicating that the reviewers had accepted fourteen of the items that I had submitted.
