Our College

The College of Business and Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is the largest business school in the state of Wisconsin with over 4,600 students pursuing various degrees and certificates programs. The college is fully accredited by AACSB International, the premier business school accreditation organization in the world. Only 5% of business schools in the world are AACSB accredited. Other colleges at the university include the College of Arts and Communication, the College of Education and Professional Studies, and the College of Letters and Sciences.

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is a thriving, comprehensive university offering 47 undergraduate majors, 13 master’s degree programs, one doctoral degree, and one education specialist degree. In the fall of 2015, UW-Whitewater welcomed 11,142 undergraduate and 1,209 graduate and professional students, including students from 38 states and 32 countries.

Our Location

The university is located in Whitewater, a safe and welcoming community of roughly 15,000 people nestled in the southern reaches of the Kettle Moraine State Forest in southeastern Wisconsin. The region hosts a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities and is particularly known for its numerous lakes, which have many public beaches and locations to fish and boat. Sites for biking, golf, hiking, and skydiving are also nearby. The university’s location is also conveniently close to urban centers in Madison and Milwaukee, which offer a vibrant range of cultural institutions and attractions, a range of fine dining, and four professional sports teams.

International Student Admission Requirements

International students admission requirements vary based on their program of study but common requirements are listed below:

  • Online Application:
    Submit your online application
  • Application Fee:
    Pay a $44 (undergraduate) or $56 ( graduate) application fee. This can be paid electronically during the online application process.
  • Foreign education credential evaluation
    Submit official course-by-course evaluations of all foreign education credentials. Acceptable international credential evaluation agencies include:

    • or any NACES accredited evaluation service (
    Transfer students must also send an official transcript from each college attended. Students transferring from a college/university within the United States must submit the Domestic Transfer Clearance Form.
  • Standardized tests requirement:
    Check if the program of study requires the completion of a standardized test; for example, graduate business programs require either the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) test scores
  • English Language requirement:
    Submit scores of one of the following English proficiency examinations if they are from a non-native English speaking country:
    • TOEFL
    • IELTS
    • International students who have worked or attended school in the US for at least a year may be exempted
  • Certification of Finances
    Complete our Certification of Finances Form indicating satisfactory financial resources are available to cover educational costs
  • Passport Copy
    Submit a photocopy of your passport
