Overview
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater has the largest business school, public or private, in the state of Wisconsin. Our business programs are renowned for excellence and have accumulated many accolades and awards over the years. Our programs and students have ranked nationally in many categories, with our most recent notable success being our students taking the CPA exam and ranking in the top 10 in the country, and our nationally ranked programs in Management Computer Systems and Entrepreneurship.
Our campus with close to 10,000 students is located in Whitewater (pop. 12,500), approximately 45 miles southeast of Madison, 50 miles southwest from downtown Milwaukee and 100 miles northwest of Chicago. UW-Whitewater and the business program both play an integral part in the economy and culture of not only Southcentral and Southeast Wisconsin but the rest of the world, as many students, especially at the graduate level, go on to a variety of challenging and interesting positions and promotions in government, industry and education after graduation.
The graduate business program at UW-Whitewater serves both daytime and evening students, and welcomes both full-time and part-time students. There are approximately 400 students in the graduate business program on a full-time and part-time basis. Students bring diverse backgrounds to the classes in age, work experience, undergraduate majors and cultural backgrounds. In addition, full-time faculty with a wealth of practical and academic experience teach all classes.
The UW-Whitewater College of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, a distinction earned by only one-quarter of all business schools across the United States. UW-Whitewater is also accredited by the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges.
