Discover our Academic Excellence

The University of Wisconsin- Whitewater's College of Business & Economics is Wisconsin's Premier Business School on the Right-Sized Campus. Employers characterize our students as "technically superior with an outstanding work ethic." Our faculty are a combination of academically and professionally qualified professionals who are committed to classroom teaching and to current research in their fields. Specific business school accreditation is a testament to our high quality. Only 30% of collegiate business schools are accredited by AACSB, and UWW is one of them.

With 13 different undergraduate majors, students can choose many different career directions. For out-of-classroom activities, students join over 20 different business student organizations that offer leadership and community service experiences at the same time as members network with business professionals. To help them move through their programs, students can readily access academic advising. As they prepare for their careers, they will use internship and career planning advice from the Career Services Office.

Business students expand their cultural and geographical boundaries through international exchange opportunities and travel study courses to many different locations such as Ireland, India, China, the Netherlands, or Mexico. Business classes taught in English allow students to study in many different countries without necessarily being fluent in the languages or adding time to their degrees.

Following completion of their BBA degrees, UW-W alumni have social and networking opportunities with fellow graduates, and when they are ready for further education, once again the College of Business & Economics can serve them with MBA and MPA degrees. Students can complete MBA degrees face-to-face or online, or they can use a combination of the two delivery methods.

UW-W's Online MBA program has earned recognition and awards regionally, nationally, and internationally from sources such as the European CEO, the Princeton Review, GetEducated.com, Corporate Report Wisconsin, and GI Jobs. Our newly-launched General Business completion program provides junior-level students the opportunity to finish their BBA degrees entirely online or in a mix of online and face-to-face classes.

The combination of committed faculty, hard-working students, superior facilities, state-of-the-art technology, and supportive alumni leads to strong business programs and successful careers for those who choose UWW's College of Business & Economics.
