AACSB Accreditation

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater College of Business and Economics is one of only nine universities in Wisconsin accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Only 30% of all schools of business in the country and less than 5% of schools of business worldwide are accredited by AACSB. This accreditation is the highest standard of achievement for business schools around the world.

Ph.D. Qualified Faculty

All classes are taught by qualified faculty with appropriate academic and work experiences in their field. No classes are taught by Graduate Assistants.

Acclaimed Online BBA & MBA Programs

UWW's COBE was named a best school for online learning by readers of Corporate Report Wisconsin, as well as U.S. News & World Report and the Princeton Review.

Student Organizations

There are more than 20 professional student organizations recognized by the College of Business. This represents an average of three organizations per department. Many of these organizations have earned national acclaim. Involvement in these organizations provides students with opportunities to develop leadership and organizational skills, as well as network with business professionals.

Reputation

Graduates of the College of Business and Education are known for having the skills necessary to enter the business world. Within one year of graduation, 80% of its graduates have been placed in careers in their area of expertise. The college is recognized as one of the best in the nation.

Podcast Producer in Classrooms

Seven classrooms in Hyland Hall are equipped with Apple Inc.'s suite of software tools for creating podcasts. This will allow instructors to record classroom lectures and discussions, as well as provide students with access review and revisit these classes.

Laptop Classrooms

Three classrooms in Hyland Hall have been equipped with extra wireless network connections and outlets. Students can bring their laptops to class and have convenient access the internet and files posted by their professors.

 

Collaboration and Media Center

A special center has been equipped for student group work. In this center, students can create and edit multi-media projects.

Student Project Rooms

Teamwork is an important part of the COBE experience. Several rooms are available for student group work in Hyland Hall. The rooms are equipped with a white board and network connections.

Comfortable Study Areas

"Great places to chill!" Comfortable places for students to study or relax between classes.

Hi-Tech Team Study Rooms

Students have access to several hi-tech team study rooms that are equipped with a smart board, an overhead projection system, and podcast producer technology, to use for developing in class presentations.

Investment Center

Up-to-date financial news and information, as well as portfolio analysis tools are available in the Investment Center which is equipped with access to Bloomberg and Morningstar Financial research services.

TelePresence Video Conferencing System

Access to a Cisco TelePresence system provides students and faculty with the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues around the world, as well as to create and share multi-media recordings and presentations.

MCS Computer Lab

Computer stations equipped with the latest technology have been dedicated to MCS students who are working on business projects. UWW's MCS program is nationally recognized as a leader in the education of information system developers.

Reserved Computer Labs

Access to technology provides an enriched learning experience for some course topics. There are several computer labs in Hyland Hall which can be reserved by faculty for specific lessons.

ITBE Computer & Networking Lab

Students in the Information Technology program have the opportunity to gain hands on experience in this lab which is designed for troubleshooting and repairing computers, setting up routers and networks, and network administration activities.
