Integrated Science/Business Major - Water Emphasis

Water resources are critical to Wisconsin and the nation.

The Milwaukee seven-county area (known as the Milwaukee 7) initiated a water council to promote water research and business opportunities in the state. Within the Milwaukee 7, many businesses and researchers focus on water resources. These regional groups give you the opportunity to meet experts as you complete your degree.

Are you interested in both business and science? Would you like the chance to blend these two fields into one career?

With regard for the world's freshwater management challenges, the UW-Whitewater College of Business and Economics is committed to providing quality water business education to our students. One example of this is the Integrated Science Business Water Emphasis.

UW-Whitewater offers you an opportunity to enroll in a unique major that combines your excitement about science with business management expertise, giving you the skills you need to contribute to Wisconsin's leadership in the business and science of water.

You can complete the integrated science/business major through either UW-Whitewater's College of Business and Economics or the College of Letters and Sciences. As a senior, you will complete an independent research project with the personal attention of faculty mentors from both science and business. Also in your senior year, you will participate in an internship that will help you apply your classroom knowledge in a real-world context.

The water emphasis prepares you for a variety of careers including:
