Management

Career Opportunities

Entrepreneurship - our first entrepreneurship majors graduated Spring 2010 so we won't have any official figures for a few years. One of our Spring Entrepreneurship graduates went into Kohl's management training program at a starting salary of $42,500. She would like to have her own business one day, but right now she is focused on gaining experience.

General Management - as the major's name suggests our general management majors are hired into a wide range of industries, e.g. retail, banking, manufacturing, and construction. Starting salaries are typically in the mid to upper $30K range.

Human Resource Management - there is a constant demand for HRM majors and you will find UW-W majors in almost every HRM office in the state. Whether a generalist, or a specialist, HRM majors tend to start in the mid $30K.

Operations and Supply Chain Management - Operations majors are in high demand across the state and nation. We place graduates with companies like P&H Mining Equipment, Harley-Davidson, Kohler, and Abbott Laboratories. Starting salaries are at the high end of all business graduates and the mid $40K is a reasonable expectation.
