Teaching Experience at Whitewater
At present, I teach classes primarily in the MBA program and online. My most frequent course is Ethics in the Marketplace. In the past, I have taught courses in promotions, direct marketing, and consumer behavior.
Professional Experience
Most of my consulting work is pro bono. I have completed several projects as a consultant to Rock County Governmental agencies in southern Wisconsin. I have also worked with Rotary Gardens, Hedberg Public Library, City of Janesville Leisure Services, and the Rock County Historical Society in Janesville, WI.
Research
My research deals primarily with pedagogical practices and especially with assessment of student learning. My earlier research portfolio dealt with advertising to children.
Service
I am co-advisor to a student organization in sales and marketing, Pi Sigma Epsilon. On the national level, I serve this organization as an executive board member for the National Education Foundation. As the Director of Accreditation and Special Projects for the College of Business & Economics, I have several responsibilities for maintaining our college database and reporting to our national accrediting organization, AACSB. I organize mentoring meetings for new faculty and academic staff in the college. I serve on several committees related to assessment and diversity issues at the university such as the Inclusive Excellence Committee, the Compass Institute Committee, and the Baccalaureate Learning Team.
