The Department of Marketing in the UW-Whitewater College of Business and Economics provides students with the opportunity to prepare for a variety of business careers. As they move through their course work, students will not only learn marketing concepts, but will apply what they learn in areas such as selling, interactive marketing, entrepreneurship, consumer behavior, research, promotions, international marketing, product and service policies, and distribution strategies. By graduation, students will have had extensive experience in writing business reports and in presenting their ideas formally. The ethical responsibilities of business are an important component of the marketing curriculum. Marketing majors are also well equipped for careers that require numerical analysis and critical thinking.

The department of marketing offers a marketing major and the possibility of an emphasis in internet and direct marketing.
