Declaring a Business Major
All students must meet a minimum GPA standard to declare a business major. The minimum combined GPA standards are as follows:
- less than 24 credits=2.0 combined GPA
- 24-72 credits=2.5 combined GPA
- 73+ credits=2.8 GPA
Eligibility for Registration of Lower and Upper Division Business Courses
To progress towards completion of a business degree students must have a minimum combined GPA of a 2.5 to be eligible to register for all lower division courses.
To be eligible for registration of all upper division courses students must have a minimum combined GPA of a 2.8, 54 or more projected credits, and have finished or be registering for the last courses in the following areas:

- Have earned a combined cumulative (transfer and UW-W) grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.80. (What if I do not meet the 2.80 requirement?)
- Submitted the Application for Upper Division Courses
NOTE: Students who do not meet the 2.8 gpa requirement may be admitted based on an "8 Point" formula. This formula considers the cumulative combined gpa and the gpa earned in the above ten courses.
