Undergraduate Advising

Changing From Business to Non-Business Major

If you are planning to change your major, please do so as soon as possible. You can then get an updated academic advisement report (AR) for the course selection and registration advising meetings.

If you are currently a business major but plan to change to a non-business major, you do not need to attend a business advising session provided that you complete the major change process. If you are in this situation, you should come to Hyland Hall 4300 to request a Major Change Form.

After completing the form and taking a copy of the form to the office of your new major, your major will be changed on the computer. When this change is complete, your business advising hold will be removed.

Warning: If you change from business to a non-business major and take business courses when your GPA is less than 2.50, you cannot change back to a business major without permission of the College of Business and Economics.

Permission is not likely.
