ROTC Benefits
ROTC benefits help students financially throughout college to put forth their best effort in academics and their ROTC training. All contracted cadets are eligible for these benefits depending on their status.
- ROTC Scholarship Recipients
- ROTC Scholarship pays for all tuition fees
- Scholarship recipients may choose to apply the scholarship towards room and board if they have other sources for tuition payment.
- Students receive book payments up to $1,200 annually.
- ROTC SMP Cadets(National Guard)
- 100% tuition reimbursement for students with a 2.0 GPA or above
- Monthly GI Bill tax free while in college and good standing
- ROTC adds a GI Bill kicker $350/month for those that qualify
- Regards to prior and current military service members
- ROTC cadets receive E-5 drill pay with their unit
- ROTC SMP Cadets (Reserve)
- Students apply 30 days prior to the start of the semester for tuition assistance up to $4500 a year
- Monthly GI Bill tax free while in college and good standing
- ROTC adds a GI Bill kicker $350/month for those that qualify
- Regards to prior and current military service members
- ROTC cadets receive E-5 drill pay with their unit
- GRFD scholarship students
- receive up to $4,500 annually for room and board.
- For all contracted cadets
- ROTC pays a monthly tax fee stipend for all contracted members.
- Freshmen - $300
- Sophomores - $350
- Juniors - $450
- Seniors - $500
- Commissioned Lieutenants have the option of joining the Active duty, National Guard or Reserve forces after graduation (exception for GRFD scholarships)
- Students receive some of the best leadership training
- Students can receive a minor in leadership upon completion of ROTC
- Students become a part of a group and form bonds and friendships
- Students stay physically fit
- Students learn and grow from our ROTC program
