Hello and welcome to the College of Education. We appreciate your interest in our College and hope you will browse through our website which contains extensive information about our programs, facilities, and faculty. Our College is committed to the principles of excellence in teacher education and leadership in maintaining and extending an effective system of schools for a free society. UW-Whitewater is a leader in the state in the preparation of teachers and we offer our students a wide array of choices of major, minor, and licensure programs.
As one of onlyfour public colleges in Wisconsin that have been accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation for Teacher Education, we subscribe to a set of quality national standards that ensure our students the best in terms of the curriculum, facilities, and faculty. In addition to our programs in teacher education, we also offer courses of study in Counselor Education, Communicative Sciences, Occupational and Environmental Safety & Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Coaching as well as Leadership and Military Science. The technological facilities of the College are outstanding and include state-of-the-art classrooms and instructional computing laboratories. With over 100 faculty and staff we are well prepared to provide individual attention to the educational and advising needs of our students.
You will be able to quickly find information about our programs on the website. It also includes information about our faculty and phone numbers and e-mail addresses of our licensure coordinators and faculty advisors. Information on our Professional Education Admission, Student Teaching, and Pre-Clinical Experiences is also available.
If you want additional information or have questions regarding any of the material contained on the various pages of the site, please feel free to contact the appropriate faculty member. It will be our pleasure to assist you in any way we can.
