Goal Statement Directions
Selection of courses for your 12-credit emphasis in Learning in the Early Years, Professional Development, Physical Education and Coaching should be done in consultation with your advisor, and your selections should be consistent with the goal statement that you submit. If you have not already done so, meet with your advisor as soon as possible to prepare the one-paragraph goal statement according to the enclosed directions.
Goal Statement Directions:
Meet with an advisor to discuss your goals. After the meeting, prepare a statement for your file that provides a rationale for the courses you are likely to take in your emphasis.
Include the following information:
Your name
Your ID number
Name of your MS-C&I emphasis
A brief indication of the following:
- Your current professional situation or background in education;
- The professional goal(s) for which you hope this degree will be relevant;
- (Optional) The general kinds of course work you would like to do as part of the program.
Submit one copy of your goal statement to your advisor and another to the MS-C&I Program Coordinator, Department of Curriculum and Instruction, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, 800 West Main Street, Whitewater, WI 53190.
