Future Teacher Program

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater College of Education and Professional Studies Future Teacher Program (FTP), is a program to assist multicultural/minority students who are interested in becoming Future Teachers and students interested in teaching in high need areas; Biology, Chemistry, Spanish, Math, Special Education, ESL/Bilingual/Bicultural, Library Media, and Early Childhood (males). Our goal is to increase the enrollment, retention and graduation rates of undergraduate students who major in education at UW-W. FTP provides a one-week summer program, allowing students the opportunity to engage in mentoring and involvement in important campus programs during the critical freshman and sophomore years.
