Financial Assistance

UW-Whitewater is committed to the scholar-practitioner approach to graduate education. We strive to provide financial support for both adult and continuing students and offer scholarships specifically for business and marketing education majors. Scholarships are also available from the Wisconsin Business Education Association.


Just a few of the scholarships offered include:


Gladys Bahr Scholarship

Business and/or Marketing Ed major

Completed or currently student teaching with Basic Business or Marketing experience

Minimum of 3.0 GPA (undergraduate)

Minimum of 3.5 GPA (graduate)

Letter from cooperating teacher (or) Internship Supervisor highlighting teaching innovation and creative resources used in teaching

Emphasis on grades earned in basic business courses for Business and/or Marketing Education Majors.

Innovative Student Teaching in Basic Business or Marketing

Organizational Leadership


Paul A. Carlson Scholarship

Business and/or Marketing Education major

Passing scores on PPST test

45 credits or more completed and a 3.0 GPA (undergraduate)

15 credits or more completed and a 3.5 GPA (graduate)

Financial need

Organizational leadership

Teaching potential


Dr. Richard F. James Marketing Education Scholarship

Marketing Education or Business/Marketing Education Major

Junior standing or graduate student with a minimum of 15 credits

Minimum of 3.0 GPA

Admitted to Professional Education

Actively involved in UW-WBMEA

Organizational Leadership in Marketing Education, DECA, and/or other professional student organizations


Harriet D. Rogers Scholarship

Business and/or Marketing Education major

Senior standing

Must be currently enrolled in Education course work with student teaching the following academic year

Teaching potential

Involvement and participation in campus community and City of Whitewater community

Minimum of 3.0 GPA

Financial need
