Anne (Annie) D’Antonio Stinson is a Professor in the Curriculum and Instruction Department at UW-Whitewater. Annie received her Ed.D. in literacy from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, in 1998. A former high school English teacher, she began teaching courses in literacy methods, alternative education, and social justice at UW-Whitewater in 1997. She is currently the coordinator of the English Education program. Her main research interest is access to higher education for undocumented students. She works extensively with DACA-eligible students on campus and advises the Dream Scholars and Colleagues, a student organization which provides both emotional and financial support for undocumented students at UW-Whitewater.
