Stanley Smoniewski, Technology Coordinator for the College, is available to assist you with your computing needs. Assistance can vary from a simple consultation to co-teaching a class session with you. Most services listed below should be reserved in advance, and additional resources may be available through your department or University Computing.
If you have any questions about accessing technology at the University, need to purchase a computer or software, or are having problems getting help from technology services, please contact:
...or visit us in Winther Hall 1006.
Winther Hall 1006 contains a computer lab that is staffed by student lab monitors who can assist you with technology issues. Two collaboratory labs are also available for group work. These labs may be used by faculty 24/7 by reserving a lab. To reserve a lab, fill out our WH-1006 Reservation Form or speak to a lab monitor.
The Active Collaboration Lab has a SMART Board, a Promethean Board, and a Cisco Telepresence system.
WITRC manages many classrooms for the College of Education and Professional Studies. For more information on getting started with these classrooms, see the Technology Classrooms page.
Faculty members may reserve a variety of portable equipment. These loans are generally 1-5 days long, but longer loans may be considered for special circumstances. To reserve equipment, fill out our Equipment Reservation Form or speak to a lab monitor.
We can create and maintain a website for your program, department, or faculty profile page. Websites are ideal for handling repetitive queries of common information and for marketing your programs.
If you are thinking of moving a course or program online, we and the Learning Technology Center (LTC) are ready to help you. Instructional design, production resources, podcasts, video support and more are available. Please inquire about how we can support you.
Some resources (scanners, DVD recorders, video capture, web page development, etc.) are available for your use through WITRC and the Learning Technology Center (LTC) on campus. Please inquire.
