More Information

Google Docs

Google Docs is a great tool available to students for collaborative, real-time editing of documents, presentations and spreadsheets. Files created with Google Docs are similar to those made with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Using Google Docs also allows students to access their files anywhere without carrying them around on a USB flash drive.

Production

Some resources such as scanners, DVD recorders, video editing, and web page development are available for your use through WITRC. Also, several sound and video production guides can be found on our Guides page. Students may reserve our production room by speaking to a lab monitor in WH-1006. Students who want to reserve equipment for check out should contact a faculty member and have them reserve it.

Wireless Internet Access

UW-Whitewater has many wifi hotspots around campus, including in the WH-1006 computer labs. If you are having trouble setting up your wireless connection, you may refer to How to Connect to UW-W Wireless, ask a lab monitor for help, or call the help desk at (262) 472-4357.
