Guests must have a ticket to attend the ceremony in Kachel Fieldhouse. Graduates may pick up seven tickets for family and friends at the Greenhill Center of the Arts Box Office. Tickets will be released from Monday, April 16, through 3 p.m. Friday, May 18. There are no extra tickets available. Children under age two will be permitted to sit on an adult's lap, but all other guests will require a ticket for seating.
Both ceremonies are on Saturday, May 19, in Kachel Fieldhouse. Doors will open 1.5 hours before the start of each ceremony. All guests must be seated 15 minutes before start time so that we can clear the aisles for the processional. Guests not seated by then will not be allowed in the Fieldhouse until after the ceremony has begun. Please silence all cell phones and mobile devices. The ceremony will last approximately two hours and we ask that guests remain for the entire ceremony.
The following items are not allowed in the fieldhouse: Food, beverages (other than water), noisemakers, signs, balloons and any other items that may block the view of attendees. Strollers and other large items may be checked at a designated room near the entrance of the fieldhouse doors
UW-W Empower will be selling roses in the lobby if you wish to purchase them for your graduate.
Photographs may be taken, however you must remain seated while taking photographs, and you will not be permitted to approach the stage due to safety concerns. A professional photographer will photograph the graduates as they cross the stage to shake hands with Chancellor Kopper, and the proofs will be sent to each graduate. In addition, you may have portraits taken with your graduate following the ceremony. The professional photographer's website is cvstudios.com.
If you want an additional memento of this special occasion, you also will be able to purchase a DVD of the entire commencement ceremony broadcast available from UWW-TV at 262-472-1332. An order form can be found here >>
Guests may view a live broadcast of the ceremony in the Timmerman Auditorium, located in Timothy J. Hyland Hall, and tickets are not required.
