When will the new building be open?

  • The completion date for the new Timothy J. Hyland Hall is scheduled for the summer of 2009.

How much will it cost?

  • The total cost for the new Business and Economic building will be $41,039,000.

Where is funding come from?

  • Funding for the new Timothy J. Hyland Hall will come from a variety of sources.

    • $35,539,000 general purpose revenue

    • $5.5 million gift funds

What will be in the new Timothy J. Hyland Hall?

  • The building will include:

    • 38 hi-tech classrooms

    • 400-seat auditorium

    • Five computer labs

    • Center for Entrepreneurial Development

    • Global Business Resource Center

    • Fiscal Economic Research Center

    • Minority Business Center

    • International studies, safety studies and trading rooms

Why is the location moving?

  • The new location of the Timothy J. Hyland Hall will be placed in a more centralized location within the UW-Whitewater campus that it will make it easier for students to get to and from class.
