Call for Workshop Proposals
32nd Annual Early Childhood Conference
University of Wisconsin-Whitewater
Friday, April 9 & Saturday, April 10, 2010

To serve the needs of young children by providing educational opportunities and resources to adults who work with them. |

Presenters will do two 60 minute workshops on Saturday (one topic may be presented twice) and/or one, 3 hour (day) and/or one, 1½ hour (evening) workshop on Friday. |

Proposals must be received by October 1, 2009. Acceptance/denial letters will be sent out by late October. |
Please complete all information requested on this form. The proposal write up must be written in the third person, be grammatically correct and use people first language. The length of the proposal should be no longer than 125 words.
Presenters (2) have the cost of the conference waived. Firsttime presenters (at this conference) who present two workshops on Saturday are paid a stipend of $50.00 and returning presenters are paid an honorarium based on the financial resources available, whether the presenters are approved through the Registry and if the content is connected to the Wisconsin Early Learning Model Standards. Payment for Friday preconference presenters is negotiated with the coordinator of the conference.
Two of the criteria for selection (along with the content of the presentation) are:
- Priority will be given to those presenters who are approved trainers through The Registry, Wisconsin's Recognition System for the Childhood Care and Education Profession. Presenters can apply online to become approved trainers at http://regdnn.newworldnow.com/. Please direct all questions related to becoming an approved trainer with The Registry.
- Priority will be given to those presenters who have developed presentations which address the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards and have explicitly written the standards into the description of the workshop.
