Project Based Learning -
Conference for K12 School Leaders
About Project Based Learning
Project Based Learning takes on many different forms depending upon the goals and beliefs of educators. Most often, PBL includes learner-centered instruction, driving questions, student collaboration, technology, and extended periods of time for student work. Project Based Learning can offer a conduit for teaching 21st Century Skills such as collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. Project Based Learning can also be used to create a curriculum focused on rigor and relevance.
School and district leaders are invited to a no-cost conference on Project Based Learning at UW-Whitewater. Faculty and staff will present information on how to implement PBL. Guest presenters Mark Hansen of the Pewaukee Public School District and Dana Monogue of the School District of Waukesha will discuss how their districts have implemented PBL in both the traditional school and charter school settings.
