About the Piano Academy

• PRIVATE LESSONS

The Piano Academy is a program for beginners to advanced students.* Weekly instruction and master classes are offered at all levels. Students receive 12 weekly lessons and one master class per semester.

• COLLABORATIVE PIANO

In addition, Piano Academy offers weekly group meetings of Collaborative Piano Class, a course designed to prepare pianists for a variety of roles: accompanist for vocal and instrumental solo, choral group, or musical theater. Sessions focus both on sight reading and rehearsal technique and pair each pianist with a vocalist/string player. This course is recommended for students with at least 2 1/2 years of private study, or by teacher recommendation.

*Students with prior piano instruction should contact Karen Boe, the Director and Coordinator (see right for contact information).
