Summer Softball Camps
About the Camp
The Youth and High School Summer Softball Camps are recommended for female athletes who wish to increase their overall knowledge of softball. Camp instruction includes hitting, defensive skills training, baserunning, pitching, catching and mental training.
The Youth Softball Camp is designed for beginning and experienced athletes in grades 5-8 in the fall of 2006.The High School Softball Camp is designed for the advanced athlete in grades 9-12 in the fall of 2006.
Dates & Times
Each camp will meet from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM with lunch in between (bring your own bag lunch). The Youth Camp meets every Wednesday for four weeks on the following dates: June 21, June 28, July 5 and July 12, 2006. The High School Camp meets every Thursday for four weeks on the following dates: June 22, June 29, July 6 and July 13, 2006.
RAIN POLICY: In the case of inclement weather, camp will be rescheduled for an additional Wednesday/Thursday.
About Warhawk Softball
The Warhawk softball team is proud of the winning tradition that has become a habit at UW-Whitewater. The women have appeared in the NCAA Division III tournament in 1983, 1984 (fourth), 1985 (third), 1986, 1987 (second), 1988, 1991, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2003.
The Warhawks were the WIAC Champions in 1980, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1996 and 1999, as well as the WIAC post season tournament champion in 2003 and runners up in 2004. The year 2006 should prove to be another successful year for the Warhawks. Through our summer camps, we provide the opportunity for all student athletes to become part of a successful and winning tradition.

Fees
Fees for the camps include a free Warhawk t-shirt,
instructional costs, supplies, and educational materials.
$170 - Youth (Grades 5-8)
$170 - High School (Grades 9-12)
What To Bring
Each camper should bring a glove, cleats, bat (if they have
one), sunscreen, water bottle and bag lunch. It is recommended that campers wear comfortable clothes (i.e. shorts, sweats, t-shirts). About two to three weeks before the start of camp, participants will receive more detailed instructions about what to bring and where to report.
Insurance
Each camper will be covered by a limited accident insurance policy. The insurance includes primary coverage up to $1,000, secondary coverage up to $5000 and $300 maximum dental insurance. Insurance does not cover pre-existing injuries and is for accidents only. The cost of insurance is included in the registration fee. Every precaution will be taken to prevent accidents and our camp will have access to training room facilities and competent camp health staff.
