Musical Pursuit
Sounds ‘n’ Visions is a wonderful opportunity for 2nd through 5th grade students to explore various musical concepts. This year’s theme is “Lights, Camera, MUSIC!” To accommodate the various ages in attendance, groups will be divided by grade level with age-appropriate lessons.
Students will learn different musical concepts that are inspired by their favorite movies. Musical concepts include: folk music, drumming, improvisation and there will be an instrumental petting zoo where students will have a hands on experience with different instruments. At the end of the their adventure the students will give a final performance showcasing what they have learned. Come join us for an exciting musical adventure in the traditional movie theatre style! It’s an event you don’t want to miss!
Parents may drop off their children in the morning
and return for them at 12:00 p.m. There will be a
parents’ lounge in the Greenhill Center of the Arts
Conference Room (2080) with coffee and
doughnuts for those parents who wish to stay.
