String Academy
About the String Academy
The String Academy is a program geared toward the beginning string player.* Private lessons are available for string students between the ages of 6 and 18. Students receive eight (8) private lessons available during the summer months.
In addition to learning how to play a string instrument, students will discover and learn note-reading skills and rhythms through a variety of games. Group lessons will be organized by age and ability.
It is integral to the student's success that a parent attend each lesson.
*Students with prior violin experience should contact the coordinator for acceptance into the lessons. Call (262) 472-5573 or e-mail Benjamin Whitcomb at whitcomb@uww.edu.
