About The Camp

The String Academy is a program geared toward the beginning string player.* Both private and group lessons are available for string students between the ages of 6 and 18. Students receive twelve (12) private lessons and four (4) group lessons each semester.

In addition to learning how to play a string instrument, students will discover and learn note-reading skills and rhythms through a variety of games. Group lessons will be organized by age and ability.

It is integral to the student’s success that a parent attend each lesson.

**Students with prior violin experience should contact Benjamin Whitcomb, the Director and Coordinator (see right for contact information).

Camp Cost

12 private lessons/4 group lessons per semester: $236

Note: Upon receipt of your child's registration, the coordinator will contact you to set up private and group lesson times.

Private Lessons

Private lessons will be offered to the students. Every student will receive 12 private lessons for each paid semester from September to December and from February to May. Lessons will be arranged by the coordinator upon receipt of your registration.
