ASICS Team Challenge Camp 2008
July 16-19, 2008

The Instructional Team and Weekend PlayT Camp will focus on individual skills and specialty areas, i.e., setting instruction, left-side and middle hitter instruction, and defensive specialist (libero position). The camp will also engage in tournament play with teams that are attending the Weekend PlayT Team Camp. This mixture will ensure that all levels of competition will be met for everyone attending either camp.
The Instructional Team and Weekend PlayT Camp is designed to test your team, both physically and mentally throughout the camp. Team points will be kept during the camp for the various activities in which they will participate. The team earning the most points during camp will take home medals and a trophy. There will be a limit of 18 teams for the camp and will include all levels of play (junior varsity and varsity). You will need at least 7 players from your team to request a spot in the camp. There is no limit to the number of players on your roster.

Stacy Boudreau is the head volleyball coach at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. In just three seasons, she has led the Warhawks to an NCAA Division III National Title in 2005, a second place finish in 2007, and a third place finish in 2006. Boudreau's overall record at UW-Whitewater is 121-16. She was selected as the 2005 AVCA Division III National Coach of the Year and the 2007 WIAC Coach of the Year. Stacy came to UW-W from Iowa Wesleyan College where she was the head coach for three seasons. She directed IWC to an overall record of 70-37, winning two conference championships, and finishing tied for ninth in the 2004 NAIA National Tournament. She was named AVCA NAIA Region Coach of the Year in 2004 and MCC Coach of the Year in 2003.
Vanessa Walby has been the assistant coach for UW-Whitewater for the past three seasons. Walby played volleyball for UW-W in 1999 and 2000, graduating with a physical education degree in December 2002. The 1999 and 2000 teams Walby played on both earned NCAA tournament berths, with the '99 team adding a WIAC title. In 2000 UW-W finished second in the NCAA III championship, when Walby served as team captain. She was also named to the Final Four All-Tournament Team. Despite playing just two years, Walby ranks among the top forty players in UW-W's career record book in kills, hitting percentage, service aces, digs and blocks.
Kris Russell is the former head volleyball coach at UW-Whitewater and will help serve as the camp coordinator.
Camp Staff
At the UW-Whitewater Volleyball Camps, we have many of the top volleyball instructors in the state. We provide a coach for every eight participants. We believe that with this ratio we can develop the talents of each camper and spend adequate time on overcoming bad habits they might have developed.
