Collaboration Tools Workshop

Tuesday, November 1, 2011 6:30pm-8:30pm
Hyland Hall Room 1001

Participants attending this workshop will be able to:

  • Understand the importance of collaboration tools
  • Identify various collaboration tools, trends, technologies, and business case successes
  • Distinguish appropriate collaboration tool strategies
  • Apply different collaboration tools in their own work

Collaboration tools have mushroomed and matured at the same time. There are thousands of tools and platforms such as online conference systems, blogs, wikis, chat rooms, forums, social networks, social bookmarking sites, files sharing, etc., which allow small and large groups to work together for a common goal. Many profit and non-profit organizations are leveraging such tools to attain competitive advantage.
