Introduction

The Law Enforcement Bachelor’s Degree Completion (LEB) program is designed specifically for law enforcement officers who have been working in their profession for at least three years and who have already earned an Associate’s Degree. The program provides students the opportunity to earn a high-quality Bachelor’s degree in Criminology from UW-Whitewater that is tailored to the needs of full-time working adults. The program combines Credit for Prior Learning, Independent Learning, and online learning with traditional face-to-face classes offered at convenient times and places. While a student who has completed all their general education requirements before entering the program should be able to earn a degree in three years attending year-round, students who need to move more slowly will be able to do so without dropping out of the program. In addition, Credit for Prior Learning and Independent Learning options allow students to complete their degrees at a significantly lower cost than traditional students.
