Melrose Area/Scottish Borders

MELROSE is a peaceful small town in the Scottish Borders area, located amidst a landscape of rolling hills, moors, wooded river valleys and farmland, stretching one hour south of Edinburgh. This is the land of Sir Walter Scott with Abbotsford as its center. Only a mile's walk out of Melrose, the Eidon Hills are fascinating for Botanists, Ornithologists, Geologist and Archeologists. The Melrose Abbey is where King Robert the Bruce's heart is said to be buried.

Scotland's educational system has traditionally been viewed as one of the finest in the world. Immersion into this system will enable teachers to discover many instructional methods that can be adapted to their own classroom.
